Cassandra Hunter
Associate Director of Programs
About
Cassandra is a Wyoming native and refers to herself as a “Laramie kid.” She has spent the last 13 years of her career working in Wyoming libraries. Cassandra considers herself a “Jill of All Trades” and her experience in libraries ranges from inter-library loan jedi master, programming extraordinaire, to building management expert. She served as Assistant Library Director at the Albany County Public Library from 2020 to 2023. Now, she is ready for a new chapter and is excited to bring her library superpowers to WYCF to help build a better Wyoming and to connect Wyoming nonprofits to a rich network of resources. In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys gardening, cooking, volunteering for her son’s school library, and of course, reading books – especially to her children Solomon and Maya. Cassandra is married and has one cat, a dog, and a bunny.
“Once upon a time, when women were birds, there was the simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy. The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world is meant to be celebrated.” — Terry Tempest Williams
